Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide essential on-site technical assistance within a stable, scientifically-oriented IT environment located in Cologne-Porz. The core responsibilities include managing a diverse, heterogeneous IT infrastructure and offering friendly, solution-oriented support to end-users regarding technical issues. The specialist will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various hardware and software components, while systematically documenting all customer inquiries and solutions using a professional ticketing system. Occasional tasks include performing Linux client installations (Ubuntu/Red Hat) and supporting daily operations. Key requirements include a completed IT vocational degree, solid knowledge of Microsoft client environments, and professional experience, ideally within a Service Desk setting. The position offers a permanent contract and the opportunity for independent work within a professional team, requiring fluent German and EU citizenship.
