Job Summary

This role involves the independent installation, configuration, and administration of server operating systems (both Microsoft and Unix-based), virtual environments (VMWare), and storage systems (SAN/NAS) within a data center setting. The System Administrator will be responsible for planning and ensuring robust backup management, performing fault analysis, troubleshooting, and documenting all resolutions. Key duties also include managing domain architecture, coordinating external IT service providers and vendors, and maintaining authorization concepts and system manuals. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical IT qualification, coupled with fundamental knowledge of Microsoft products, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage/backup management systems (Veeam, NetApp). This is a full-time, permanent position contributing to public transport mobility in the Ruhr region.
