Job Summary

This role involves independently managing applications for the Blue Angel and EU Ecolabel environmental certifications. The specialist will serve as the primary contact for applicants, explaining complex procedures and award criteria. Key responsibilities include evaluating technical documentation such as chemical data, safety data sheets, and audit reports, ensuring compliance with strict environmental standards. The position requires communication with relevant authorities, including the German Federal Environmental Agency and the EU Commission. A successful candidate must hold a university degree in Chemistry (M.Sc. or Ph.D.), possess strong knowledge of chemical and hazardous substance regulations (specifically REACH and CLP), and demonstrate fluency in both German and English. The specialist will also contribute to updating award criteria, maintaining databases, and supporting the acquisition of new label users through events and webinars, offering a challenging and varied role within a modern, family-friendly organization.
