Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Research Biologist or Laboratory Technician to join the AG Abdullah working group at the Institute of Molecular Medicine and Experimental Immunology (IMMEI) in Bonn. The position focuses on cutting-edge immunological research concerning chronic liver inflammation and tissue regeneration, utilizing both in vitro and in vivo methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transgenic mouse colonies, including husbandry, genotyping, and organ processing, as well as performing complex flow cytometric profiling of immune populations. Key responsibilities also include maintaining core lab resources, establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and providing technical training to PhD and Masters students. Required qualifications include formal training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or equivalent biological technician, FELASA B certification for animal handling, and professional fluency in both English and German. This position offers flexibility and competitive compensation under the TV-L collective agreement within a leading university hospital environment.
