Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher role is a 2-year full-time position within the Institute of Molecular Medicine and Experimental Immunology (IMMEI) at the University Hospital Bonn. The core focus of the research project is investigating the role of obesity in reprogramming memory T cell responses. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full research lifecycle, including designing and executing complex biological experiments, analyzing data to generate publication-quality figures, and presenting findings at both internal lab meetings and international conferences. A key responsibility involves preparing and submitting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, as well as contributing to grant proposals and progress reports for funding bodies. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, or a related field, possess a strong background in immunology and molecular biology, and hold the mandatory FELASA B certification for animal work. Proficiency in flow cytometry and imaging techniques is also required, alongside excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
