This Expert Project Engineer role involves leading and ensuring the quality-compliant execution of planning, implementation, construction supervision, and testing services within the critical Signaling and Safety Technology (LST) domain for major rail infrastructure projects, including Stuttgart 21 and the Digital Rail Node Stuttgart. The successful candidate will coordinate all project stakeholders and interfaces, actively manage risks, and ensure adherence to schedules, costs, and quality standards. Key responsibilities also include overseeing tendering processes, coordinating the awarding of contracts, and acting as the primary contact for regulatory authorities regarding necessary permits. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or Industrial Engineering; or equivalent qualification with relevant fundamental knowledge.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in Signaling and Safety Technology (LST)
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and contract handling in A-projects (major infrastructure projects)
  • Professional experience in monitoring planning, execution, and testing services
  • Experience in independently managing projects and achieving set goals
