Job Summary

This role is crucial for securing the grid of tomorrow by equipping the power network with modern metering technology. The Electronics Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and comprehensive troubleshooting of advanced metering devices in large customer facilities, including energy storage, wind, and photovoltaic plants. Day-to-day tasks involve performing on-site error measurements, configuring components in the metering lab, and ensuring the compliance and monitoring of calibration-required equipment. The technician will continuously develop their expertise in communication technology and collaborate with specialists on complex configurations. Success in this position requires a completed vocational training or technician qualification in Electrical or Communication Technology, alongside a strong aptitude for independent, practical work. A key component of the role is extensive travel throughout the 50Hertz grid area, often involving multi-day trips and the readiness to work at heights, directly contributing to Germany's energy transition.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training, Master Craftsman, or Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, Operations Technology, or Communication Technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering, operations technology, or communication technology
  • Experience with RLM meters (Registered Load Profile meters) and communication techniques (advantageous)
