Job Summary

This role as an Electrical Engineer focusing on Protection Systems and Grid Concepts offers a highly varied mix of theoretical and practical work within the 50Hertz transmission grid. The core responsibility involves developing technical principles, concepts, and guidelines for the configuration, operation, and maintenance of protection technology. Day-to-day tasks include calculating and verifying protection device settings using specialized tools, analyzing complex system faults, and adapting existing protection concepts based on these analyses. You will also work directly with modern protection devices in the dedicated protection lab, consult with manufacturers, and support the commissioning of new equipment. Key qualifications include a completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, professional experience in secondary technology, and a deep system understanding of electrical energy systems. Fluency in German (C1) and good English (B2) are essential for coordinating effectively with internal departments (operations, projects) and external partners, ensuring the continuous advancement of grid protection standards.
