Job Summary

This role is for an LC-MS Analytics Expert focusing on the quantification of pharmaceutical impurities within a specialized, international team in Wuppertal-Elberfeld. The professional will be responsible for independently developing and validating highly sensitive LC-MS methods to quantify impurities in active ingredients and formulations down to the ppb range. Key daily tasks include executing analytical work, evaluating results in a GMP-regulated environment, and organizing laboratory processes, including safety and general lab infrastructure maintenance. The expert will also drive the digital transformation and automation of the LC-MS laboratory, ensuring compliance and functionality. Candidates need multi-year professional experience with advanced instrumental analytics, particularly (U)HPLC-MS/MS or HRMS, and strong knowledge of complex matrices and trace analysis sample preparation techniques. Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Assistant, or comparable qualification with further training as a Chemical Technician or Bachelor's degree

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in instrumental analytics
  • Experience with (U)HPLC-MS/MS (Triple-Quad MS) and/or high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS)
  • Experience with complex matrices and demanding sample preparation techniques for trace analysis
  • Experience with Laboratory Information and Management Systems (LIMS) is beneficial
