This role involves driving the digital transformation of rail operations by identifying optimization potential and developing digitally supported processes from conception through successful implementation. The Process Manager is responsible for advancing nationwide standard processes and work procedures concerning railway operations, focusing on designing lean, user-centric digital processes and setting standards for the digital process landscape. Key responsibilities include analyzing user requirements for operational work environments, ensuring alignment with strategy, safety, IT security, and economic efficiency, and coordinating with stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a background in IT, mathematics, or engineering, coupled with fundamental experience in process analysis, monitoring, and implementation, ideally within the transport or railway sector. Proficiency in analytical tools like Power BI and SQL, combined with strong conceptual and analytical skills, is essential for success in this challenging and impactful position within the German railway system.

Education

University degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in the conception and execution of analyses
  • Professional experience in the development and implementation of monitoring and process methods
  • Experience in operational processes or in the railway/transport sector (ideal)
  • Experience in projects for process optimization and efficiency improvement (ideal)
