Job Summary

This role involves scientifically leading early-stage drug discovery projects for a global pharmaceutical leader, focusing on cardiovascular, oncology, and immunology indications. The Drug Discovery Chemist will manage the entire early research process, developing and implementing Structure-Activity-Relationship (SAR) and Structure-Property-Relationship (SPR) strategies. Key responsibilities include designing innovative active ingredients, supporting molecular design, and leading interdisciplinary teams. The professional will integrate cross-functional data sources to support strategic, data-driven decision-making within the research portfolio. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry and possesses extensive experience in drug research and Drug Design. This position is unique as it offers full remote flexibility across Europe or the USA, requiring only occasional business travel, while offering the chance to contribute to high-impact research within a major international organization.
