Job Summary
This Doctoral Researcher position, based at the Max Rubner Institute, focuses on enhancing the nutritional value of potato products by integrating dietary fibers sustainably derived from oilseed and potato processing byproducts. The successful candidate will manage the "KaProBast" research project, linking food technology with advanced analytical chemistry. Key responsibilities include practical extraction work in the technology center, characterizing fiber-enriched extracts, and performing instrumental analysis (specifically HPLC and GC-MS) for components like polysaccharides, phenols, and contaminants. The role requires a Master’s degree in Food Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Food Technology, proven experience in instrumental analysis, and excellent proficiency in both written and spoken German. Required Skills

Master's degree (or equivalent) in Food Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, or a comparable scientific field; High motivation to pursue a doctorate/PhD
Experience
- Knowledge and experience in general and instrumental analysis, especially HPLC
- Experience with computer-aided evaluation of analytical data
- Professional experience in planning and conducting scientific work (Desirable)
- Practical experience in food analysis and/or food technology extraction procedures (Desirable)
