Job Summary

This permanent, part-time position (20 hours per week) as an Electrical Engineering Technician is situated within the Institute for Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering, focusing heavily on supporting technical infrastructure for teaching and research. The core duties involve managing and maintaining the rapid prototyping facilities, including PCB milling machines and 3D printers. The technician will actively participate in the development of both electronic and mechanical prototypes and setups, and provide crucial support for research measurements. A significant part of the role includes the conception and implementation of essential data acquisition and automation systems required for smooth laboratory operation. Candidates must possess a relevant technical degree or qualification, strong electronics competencies, and preferably experience with Arduino systems or PCB design and assembly. This role requires good proficiency in German and English, alongside strong analytical, cooperative, and self-reliant working skills.

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical support and electronics.
