Job Summary

This senior role, based in Vienna, focuses on strategic cyber threat analysis and policy development within a governmental agency. The analyst will be responsible for observing and evaluating the strategic orientation of actors in the cyber domain and conducting high-level analysis of cyber threats. Daily activities include the independent preparation of critical cyber security-relevant information, drafting contributions for publications, training, and presentations, and actively participating in national and international working groups. A key responsibility is the development and implementation of new ideas, processes, technologies, and methods to enhance overall cyber security capabilities. Candidates must possess excellent analytical skills, very strong knowledge of project management, and expertise in IT security from an organizational-analytical standpoint. A high degree of self-initiative, flexibility, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this demanding position.

Required Skills

Education

High School Diploma (Matura) OR Bachelor's/Master's Degree from a university

Experience

  • 7 years in a technical field (with High School Diploma/Matura)
  • 5 years in a technical field (with Bachelor's or Master's degree)
  • Professional experience in organizational-analytical IT security
  • Experience participating in national and international working groups
