Job Summary

This permanent, full-time IT Security Analyst role, classified as RIVIT 5 within the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Vienna, focuses on protecting critical ICT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of security incident management, including identifying vulnerabilities, developing and communicating robust solutions, and overseeing their implementation. A core function involves conducting detailed malware analysis and utilizing both automated and manual techniques to detect and prevent attacks. Daily tasks include monitoring security measures across computer, network, and information systems, documenting security breaches, and managing the distribution of critical security alerts (CSIRT/CERT functions). Candidates must possess strong analytical and conceptual skills, be prepared for on-call duties and overtime, and must be willing to undergo a "Secret" level security clearance. Essential qualifications include professional experience in ICT security, 1st/2nd Level Support, and a background in SOC/CSIRT operations, supported by a relevant technical degree and mandatory Austrian citizenship.

Experience

  • 5 years of professional experience combined with a Technical High School Diploma (HTL/Matura) OR 3 years of professional experience combined with a University Bachelor/Master degree
