Job Summary
This highly specialized role seeks an Ultra Pure Water (UPW) Systems Engineer to serve as the subject matter expert and system owner for critical water supply systems, including UPW, Industrial Reclaim, Process Cooling Water (PCW), and Industrial Wastewater Treatment (WWT) at a new 300mm semiconductor fab in Dresden. The engineer will ensure operational excellence, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives. Day-to-day tasks involve developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance plans (PM/CM), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs). The position requires strong data analysis skills to ensure uninterrupted system supply, support new system design and commissioning projects, and provide technical training and mentorship to junior staff. This is a unique opportunity to shape the foundation of a state-of-the-art European semiconductor manufacturing facility.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Water Treatment Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Experience
- 10+ years of relevant post education experience with ultrapure water systems and industrial wastewater treatment systems
- Experience in design, construction, commissioning, and operations of water systems
- Strong knowledge in operation and regulatory compliance of industrial processing plant or semiconductor facilities
- Professional experience with facilities engineering of industrial processing plant
- Professional experience in project management and troubleshooting
