Job Summary

This senior leadership role involves heading the Technology department, overseeing all technical operations, maintenance, and complex project execution for the world's largest plant cell culture fermentation facility located near Hamburg. The Head of Engineering will be responsible for the comprehensive management and modernization of complex, highly automated fermentation and processing plants, ensuring optimal operational availability and strict adherence to pharmaceutical quality standards (GMP). Day-to-day tasks include leading an 8-person team, defining standards for facilities and equipment, managing budgets and resources for capital investment projects (EPCMV phases), and coordinating external service providers. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with a background in GMP-regulated environments, possessing strong entrepreneurial thinking and excellent communication skills to represent the technical area to internal stakeholders, customers, and regulatory authorities.
