This crucial technical role focuses on maintaining and expanding the physical infrastructure within a data center environment. The Data Center IT Technician will perform essential hands-on tasks including network cabling, patching fiber optic and copper connections, and installing/deinstalling various hardware components. A significant part of the role involves network troubleshooting, such as measuring lines and signal tracing, ensuring continuous operation. Responsibilities also extend to logistical planning, managing deliveries, documenting all network devices and cabling, and performing final quality control checks on external installations. Candidates must demonstrate strong general IT market knowledge, experience with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and proficiency in using ticketing systems and Microsoft Office tools like Visio.
