Job Summary

This Research Associate role focuses on advancing High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI application efficiency within the Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Sciences (CIDS) at TU Dresden. The successful candidate will engage in scientific research and development, specifically designing and refining software tools for comprehensive performance measurement and analysis, covering aspects like computational power, I/O, and energy efficiency. A core responsibility involves providing expert scientific consultation to researchers, helping them optimize and efficiently utilize HPC systems and parallel applications. Key requirements include a scientific university degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong knowledge of HPC systems, Linux, parallel programming, and experience using C, C++, or Python. This position is highly attractive as it offers creative tasks within the National High-Performance Computing (NHR) network, access to cutting-edge infrastructure, and the opportunity for further scientific qualification, typically leading to a PhD.
