Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher role at the TUD Dresden University of Technology focuses on cutting-edge experimental condensed matter physics, specifically investigating ultrafast detection of THz-controlled light emitters in quantum matter. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating complex combined THz-optical experiments utilizing advanced streak camera detectors and free-electron-laser radiation. Key tasks involve scientific research on time-resolved optoelectronic phenomena in low-dimensional van der Waals materials, including the fabrication and preparation of complex heterostructures. This position requires a PhD in physics or a related discipline, coupled with hands-on expertise in THz spectroscopy and operating optical setups at free-electron-laser facilities. This is an attractive opportunity to join an international team, gain further academic qualification, and contribute to BMBF-funded research in a highly active scientific field.
