Job Summary
This role is for a Medical Technologist or Biological Technical Assistant to join the Core Facility Genomics team at the University Hospital Münster. The successful candidate will be responsible for critical laboratory tasks including the purification, quality control, and quantification of DNA and RNA, as well as preparing libraries for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and operating NGS systems. They will also manage data entry into laboratory databases and document experiments. This position requires a strong understanding of molecular biology, practical lab experience, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative environment. It offers an engaging and varied work experience with opportunities for professional development, contributing to both campus and external research collaborations.

Education
Completed training as a Medical Technical Assistant or Biological Technical Assistant
Experience
- Practical experience with methods such as PCR techniques, quality control, and quantification of nucleic acids is desirable
 - Experience with RNA-based methods like cDNA synthesis or NGS library preparation is desirable
 
Languages
Additional
- Must have full measles vaccination protection due to legal requirements.
