Job Summary

This position seeks a highly motivated PhD student to join an interdisciplinary research team focused on developing novel biophysical modeling approaches using diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The core mission is to comprehensively characterize the tumor microenvironment (TME) to improve cancer staging and personalized therapy monitoring. Day-to-day tasks involve developing and validating advanced biophysical models, implementing MR sequences on preclinical scanners, collecting and analyzing complex MRI data, and collaborating with external partners providing bioreactors. The role requires a Master’s degree in Physics, Biomedical Imaging, or a related field, strong programming skills (C++, Matlab, Python), and a keen interest in magnetic resonance and biophysical modeling. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research, present findings at international conferences, and potentially perform animal experiments, making this an attractive opportunity for scientific advancement in medical imaging.
