Job Summary

This role involves high-level scientific and administrative management for the QUEST Institute and the QuantumFrontiers Cluster of Excellence at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB). The scientist will coordinate participating institutions regarding scientific content, support the Cluster's Science and Executive Boards, and contribute significantly to scientific quality management, controlling, and research data management. Day-to-day tasks include leading financial planning, managing budgets, and overseeing controlling for the PTB's cluster segment and the QUEST Institute. The position also requires supporting the QUEST Institute leadership in acquiring third-party funding and handling subsequent administrative reporting. Candidates must hold a Master's degree and a PhD in Physics or a comparable field relevant to QuantumFrontiers, coupled with proven organizational, administrative, and independent scientific capabilities in quantum technologies.
