Job Summary

This doctoral position involves pioneering interdisciplinary research focused on sustainable biopolymer processing, specifically combining laser technology, material science, and polymer physics. The successful candidate will conduct experiments investigating laser-induced changes on the molecular properties of biopolymers, particularly cellulose, and develop novel, sustainable processing techniques. A key part of the role includes establishing analytical protocols, such as Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), and managing project deliverables, ensuring compliance with EU reporting standards for the ERC project. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field, and possess hands-on experience with polymer analytical methods (GPC, NMR, FTIR). This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to a new research laboratory, gain teaching experience, and work at the forefront of sustainable materials processing.
