Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher role at the University of Rostock focuses on cutting-edge surface and interface physics within the 'Applying Interoperable Metadata Standards (AIMS) 2' project. The core responsibilities involve preparing and examining molecular crystals and metallic nanostructures using scanning probe methods under external optical excitation. A significant part of the role includes analyzing metadata related to force microscopy, evaluating experimental data, presenting results, and authoring scientific manuscripts. Candidates must hold a PhD in Physics, possess strong mathematical skills, and have expertise in surface physics, scanning probe microscopy, and functional surface coating. Proficiency in data analysis tools like C++, Python, and LabVIEW is essential, alongside a strong interest in understanding underlying physical mechanisms and working collaboratively in interdisciplinary research.
