Job Summary

This role involves taking technical responsibility for implementing Business Continuity Management (BCM) within the university's IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of IT operations, backup systems, and Security Operations. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing robust backup and recovery strategies, establishing procedures for emergency handling, and documenting processes and systems thoroughly. You will also support the operation of the university's backup system, coordinate regular system recovery tests, and serve as the technical liaison to the university's BCM officer. This position requires strong analytical and conceptual skills, knowledge of BCM standards (like BSI 200-4), and experience with server/storage systems and backup software. Required Skills

Education

Completed Diploma (DI1) or Bachelor's degree (minimum 6 semesters) in Computer Science or a comparable field, OR completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with documented, multi-year experience in IT system operation and security.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT system operation and IT security (required if educational background is vocational)
  • Knowledge of IT emergency management and Business Continuity Management (BSI Standard 200-4)
  • Knowledge in operating server, storage, and backup systems
  • Knowledge in Project Management
