Job Summary

This role involves supporting the physical infrastructure of a large multinational IT company's data center in Frankfurt am Main. The Data Center Technician will be responsible for preparing, staging, setting up, and performing startups and shutdowns of hardware components like racks, hard drives, and switches, strictly adhering to safety protocols and standard procedures. A core part of the job includes performing post-execution quality checks, verifying proper grounding, labeling, and cabling according to deployment standards. The technician will also diagnose and troubleshoot issues using standard procedures, quickly identifying faults and replacing defective hardware. Key requirements include at least one year of experience in a data center environment, practical experience with networking devices, servers, and cabling, and basic knowledge of computer hardware. Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential for this position.
