Job Summary

This role is for a Data Center Technician supporting a major multinational IT company in Frankfurt am Main, a global leader in cloud computing and software. The technician will be responsible for the physical deployment and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including preparing, staging, setting up, and performing startups and shutdowns of racks, hard drives, and switches following strict protocols and checklists. Key daily activities involve performing post-execution quality checks, verifying grounding and cabling according to safety standards, and executing diagnostics and troubleshooting to quickly identify and replace faulty components. Candidates must possess at least one year of professional experience in a data center environment, coupled with hands-on experience working with networking devices and servers, troubleshooting, and cabling. A basic understanding of computer hardware and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications are also required. This position offers an initial 18-month fixed-term contract with the option for permanent employment and requires flexibility to work non-standard hours.
