Job Summary

This role involves leading the Resource Management section within the Central Control and Intendancy Staff Unit for the Kiel Office for Housing and Social Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning staff deployment, work distribution, and resource allocation, while also providing leadership and guidance to team members. A key part of the role is supporting financial resource management, analyzing budget execution against city-wide objectives, and conducting business and ad-hoc analyses. The position also involves managing cross-cutting tasks such as processing asylum seeker benefits and ensuring compliance with tax-related obligations. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or FH-Diplom) with a standard study period of at least 6 semesters in: Economics, Administrative Management, Public Management, Political Science, Administrative Science, Public Law, or Law. Alternatively, completed career examination/qualification for the first entry-level position of career group two, General Services, or completed Angestelltenlehrgang II (Employee Training Course II).

Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience based on the required education and training in 2 different work areas
  • Initial leadership experience, including in a deputy capacity
