Job Summary

This doctoral researcher position offers the opportunity to join the cutting-edge TRR418 "Circadian Medicine" consortium, focusing on how the body's internal clock regulates UV light-induced autoimmunity in the skin, particularly in Lupus patients. The successful candidate will primarily execute functional ex-vivo and in-vitro experiments using human biological samples (blood, hair, urine, skin). Day-to-day tasks involve integrating behavioral sensor data and questionnaire results with complex molecular analyses, including transcriptomics and mechanistic studies. A key responsibility is establishing and applying a human skin organ culture model. This role requires a Master's degree in Biology or a related life science field and a strong scientific interest in (Psycho-)Neuroimmunology, offering a chance to contribute significantly to developing novel, clock-based diagnostics and therapies within a leading research network.
