Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Medical Informatician or IT Specialist to join the IT Centre for Clinical Research, focusing primarily on research data management within the Section for Clinical Research IT (SKFIT). The core responsibilities involve operating and expanding a robust research IT infrastructure tailored for clinicians and researchers. Day-to-day tasks include managing complex data interfaces, developing ETL processes, and ensuring high data quality, utilizing patient data from the hospital information system and specialized research sources like Omics-clusters. The specialist will also lend informatics expertise to study acquisition, CRF design, and user training. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Informatics or Informatics, coupled with experience in networked database applications and knowledge of healthcare IT environments, including data protection, clinical studies, interoperability, and ETL tools. This position offers the opportunity to work on varied projects, including contributing to the establishment of a Medical Data Integration Center (MeDIC), within an engaged team environment, supported by flexible working arrangements.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Informatics, Informatics, or an equivalent field

Experience

  • Professional experience, ideally, in networked database applications
  • Acquired knowledge of IT applications in the healthcare sector (e.g., data protection, clinical studies, interoperability, and ETL tools)
  • Experience in clinical documentation
  • Experience in conducting clinical trials (GCP)
