Job Summary
This role involves operating and advancing central management systems for a multi-thousand system endpoint environment at the Robert Koch Institute, Germany's Public Health Institute. Day-to-day tasks include the comprehensive administration and operation of Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM/SCCM), developing automations, and shaping the Windows endpoint environment. You will also manage the Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, handling updates, troubleshooting, and error analysis, often with vendor support. A significant part of the job involves project work, including planning and conceptualizing new services, developing implementation recommendations, and coordinating their execution. Key requirements include a degree in IT or 10 years of relevant professional experience, coupled with at least 5 years of experience specifically in MCM/SCCM, Windows Server administration, and PowerShell scripting. Completed university degree (e.g., Business Informatics, Computer Science) or equivalent long-term relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Long-term relevant professional experience (at least 10 years) OR a relevant degree
- Several years of relevant professional experience (at least 5 years)
- Professional experience in Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MCM)
- Professional experience in administering Windows Server 2016 or higher, Windows 10 and/or Windows 11
- Experience in autonomous execution of IT projects (Desirable)
