Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as a Data Management Engineer in Augsburg involves the critical maintenance and management of measurement points and signals within the Technical Engine Database (TED) for 4-stroke engine Safety and Control Systems (SaCoS). The role is fundamental to enabling test operations, commissioning, data logging, and various data-driven services. Key daily tasks include comprehensive variant and configuration management, contributing to configuration standardization, and generating essential documentation, such as measurement point and signal lists, for internal teams and external classification societies. The engineer will collaborate closely with Project and Release Management, independently executing defined work packages, and supporting the creation of P&IDs and sensor placement. Candidates must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science, coupled with professional experience in engine control systems and database management. Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken German and English is required, along with a structured, responsible, and team-oriented work ethic, focusing on continuous data quality improvement.
