Job Summary
This role involves actively contributing to the modernization of the Public Health Service (ÖGD) in Bavaria by managing IT and digitalization projects. The Junior Project Manager will support the implementation, piloting, rollout, and further development of new IT applications, including the ÖGD Citizen Portal. Day-to-day tasks include process and project management, creating and executing cost plans, handling budget reporting, and ensuring compliance with project guidelines. A key part of the role is supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) and managing the steering committee secretariat, which involves preparing documents and coordinating workflows. This position is ideal for someone with a background in IT, health sciences, or economics who is technically adept, enjoys problem-solving with innovative technologies, and thrives in multidisciplinary teams focused on optimizing public health administration.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor, Diploma [FH] or comparable) in Informatics, Business Informatics, Health Sciences, or Economics, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the Public Health Service, as a consultant in the health sector, or in digital transformation projects (advantageous)
- Experience in IT project management (classic and/or agile) (advantageous)
- Experience in requirements management, ideally within digitalization projects (advantageous)
- Experience utilizing workflow systems such as E-File, ticketing systems, or collaboration tools (advantageous)
- Basic understanding of IT networks, network architectures, and security components (e.g., VPN, Firewalls, Routers/Switches) (advantageous)
- Experience collaborating with different organizations, administrative units, and external partners (advantageous)
