Job Summary

This role involves working at the Federal Armed Forces Cyber Security Center, focusing on the development, harmonization, standardization, and advancement of procedures and tools for conducting rigorous system tests. Key areas include IT security inspections, accreditations, crypto security inspections, and technical vulnerability analyses, primarily targeting Windows operating systems (including virtualization) and Windows applications. The developer will conduct system tests to assess the effectiveness of existing tools, identify capability gaps, and propose improvements, while also creating comprehensive instructions and aids for test execution. Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor/Diplom FH) in MINT fields like Computer Science or Cyber Security, coupled with at least two years of professional experience in information security, programming/scripting, and Windows systems administration. The position requires a commitment to continuous training, willingness to travel regularly both domestically and internationally, and the ability to pass a mandatory enhanced security clearance (Ü3).

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diplom FH) in MINT fields (e.g., Computer Science, Cyber Security, Technical Information Security) or comparable

Experience

  • At least 2 years in information security
  • At least 2 years in programming and scripting
  • At least 2 years in tool-supported technical vulnerability analysis, Computer Emergency Response, or comparable areas
  • At least 2 years in the administration of Windows systems including Active Directory

  • German citizenship required (for potential civil service status); Willingness to undertake regular domestic and international business travel; Must possess Class B driver's license and willingness to acquire Federal Armed Forces Class B driver's license; Must agree to participate in an enhanced security screening (successful completion of level Ü3 required for permanent placement).
