Job Summary
This position is for a highly motivated Doctoral Candidate to join the Chair of Algorithmics within the Institute of Theoretical Computer Science at TU Dresden, a leading German University of Excellence. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge scientific research focused on the design and analysis of algorithms and data structures. Key research areas include Randomized, Online, Approximation, and Streaming Algorithms, as well as adaptive data structures and algorithmic geometry. Day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting research aimed at publication in top conferences and journals, participating in teaching activities, and supervising Master's and Bachelor's students. The role requires a scientific university degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, strong foundational knowledge in algorithms, and demonstrated research experience. This is a three-year, fixed-term position with the option for extension, explicitly aimed at achieving a doctoral qualification.
