Job Summary

This Research Assistant position, based at the Chair of Thermal Process Engineering, involves developing an adaptive pore network model for a DFG-funded project focusing on coking and regeneration in single catalyst particles. The core responsibility is modeling transport phenomena, desired and undesired reactions (coking) at the nanometer scale within catalyst pores, and scaling up these discrete models to continuum parameters for single catalyst pellets. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering, present and publish research results, and supervise student theses. This role provides a unique opportunity to pursue a PhD, capitalizing on the Chair's extensive experience in pore network modeling. Candidates must hold a Master's or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related disciplines, possess experience with modeling tools and mathematical methods, and demonstrate very good English language skills.
