Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Research Associate in Physics Didactics to join the Institute of Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will drive independent, specialized didactic research, focusing heavily on analyzing, coding, and processing auditory or transcribed data related to physics instruction. A key aspect involves collaborating on projects that quantify data using methods like Artificial Intelligence or Natural Language Processing to scale valid analyses of lesson planning and reflection. Daily duties include independent teaching (4 SWS, Semester weekly hours) and publishing research findings. Candidates must possess a completed Master's degree or First State Examination in Physics Education/Teaching and demonstrable expertise in didactic research and teaching, ideally through multi-year experience. Fundamental knowledge of planning and reflection in physics lessons is essential, along with very good German language skills (C1). This fixed-term position offers excellent opportunities for scientific qualification, support in applying for third-party funding, and significant creative freedom within a major German university setting.
