Job Summary
This role involves the independent and comprehensive administrative processing of external funding projects, particularly those from national public funding bodies and donations, within the University Administration. The Administrative Officer will be responsible for advising researchers on project execution, calculating and preparing fund requests, and generating annual and final statements of use. Key tasks also include issuing donation receipts and conducting controlling activities to ensure projects comply with funder regulations and usage requirements. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in economics, social, legal, or administrative sciences (or equivalent qualifications), strong knowledge of public budget law, and expertise in business administration, especially accounting. Proficiency in German is essential, along with excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills to effectively manage complex funding processes.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Applied Sciences or Bachelor) in Economics, Social, Legal, or Administrative Sciences, OR qualification for Career Group 2, first entry level (formerly higher non-technical administrative service), OR Administrative Course II/H2 Course, OR commercial training with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in the administrative support of external funding projects is desirable
- Professional experience in external funding administration (required if substituting formal education with commercial training, minimum 3 years)
- Knowledge of tax law is advantageous

- The position is temporary for 2 years. Cannot be filled by individuals who have previously been employed by Bergische Universität Wuppertal (including student and research assistant positions). The role is part-time (75% of the standard working hours).
