Job Summary

This role involves providing essential First and Second Level IT Support for customers of the municipal IT department (IKS) in Saarbrücken. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing error situations, resolving IT problems at the user's workstation, and documenting solutions within the IT Service Management system. The specialist will handle support via phone, remote maintenance, and email, assisting users with standard desktop and office applications. Key tasks also cover hardware/software rollout planning, execution of hardware exchanges, and coordinating technical support with external firms. The ideal candidate holds a completed vocational qualification, such as an IT Specialist, possesses strong knowledge of PC technology, Windows Server/Desktop operating systems, and basic network technology. This position offers an initial two-year fixed-term contract with the strong prospect of permanent employment, requiring high service orientation and flexibility regarding service hours (early/late shifts).

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training, preferably as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or comparable three-year IT qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in First and Second Level support for IT workstation systems (advantageous)
  • Practical experience in IT workstation system support within the last 5 years (advantageous)
