Job Summary

This role involves managing and coordinating a crucial, two-year, third-party funded research project within the Berlin Police focused on applying digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize criminal investigation, particularly concerning financial crime. The manager will handle all administrative aspects, including budget oversight, procurement management, time management, and milestone controlling. A key function is acting as the technical interface, translating police requirements to external research and industry partners while ensuring strict compliance with data protection laws (DSGVO, EU AI Regulation). This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to public safety by driving innovative, AI-driven solutions within a governmental structure. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field and proven experience in managing complex, funded research projects.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master's) in Administrative Sciences, Informatics, Business Administration, Law, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • 5 years of comparable professional experience (if 2 years is not met)
  • Experience in the administration, coordination, and execution of third-party funded projects
  • Experience with AI technologies such as Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing
  • Prior experience in the public service or with governmental structures (preferred)
