Job Summary
Join the Berlin Police and Fire Department's Cooperative Control Center as an IT Systems Technician, contributing to the most modern and largest control system in Germany. This role involves working on the digital backbone of the control center, focusing on IT security, data protection, geospatial data infrastructure, and highly available data centers with an autonomous data network. You will be instrumental in building the future control center technology, ensuring its technical operation through installation and maintenance, and providing first and second-level support. This is an opportunity to be part of a team responsible for monitoring, administration, and continuous development of a critical public safety system, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on the safety of Berlin.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent university of applied sciences degree in Informatics, Communications, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field. Candidates completing their degree within 6 months are also encouraged to apply.
Experience
- 3+ years in system technology fields (Informatics, Communications, Electrical Engineering) with comparable qualification and experience
- Experience with 1st or 2nd-Level Support
- Experience with ITIL and process-oriented work
- Teamwork and independent work
