Job Summary

This Technical Assistant role, based at the Max Planck Institute in Dresden, involves actively supporting groundbreaking biomedical research focused on RNA and translational control during zebrafish embryogenesis. The successful candidate will be a core member of the Reimão Pinto Lab, primarily responsible for conducting and supporting molecular biology experiments, including cloning, RT-qPCR, western blotting, and zebrafish genetics (microinjections, genotyping, imaging). Day-to-day duties also include meticulous data collection, processing, and contributing to protocol optimization. Furthermore, the assistant will manage lab organization, including ordering, documentation, and equipment maintenance to ensure safety compliance and smooth operations. Required Skills

Education

Research Technician qualification (MTA/BTA or equivalent) or a scientific university degree in a relevant field

Experience

  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: molecular biology and cloning, biochemistry, or zebrafish genetics
  • Professional experience in experimental documentation and lab operations
