Job Summary

This role is for a Biological Laboratory Technician at Tetra, a global market leader in aquatics and pet products. The primary responsibilities involve conducting hands-on laboratory work and tests related to fish food, aquarium maintenance, and biofarm operations. A crucial part of the job is preparing microbiological procedures and evaluations necessary for production control, as well as the precise documentation and evaluation of results for both finished feeds and raw materials. The ideal candidate must possess a completed qualification as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or equivalent, coupled with practical experience in a laboratory setting, ideally concerning fish pathology and handling. Essential skills include expertise in microscopic examinations, robust data documentation, and familiarity with laboratory software and SAP. The position requires a careful, precise work ethic, strong communication skills, and flexibility to cover weekend and on-call duties while adhering strictly to safety and environmental regulations.
