Job Summary

This role involves the conceptualization, further development, and responsible management of the Document Management System (DMS) Platform IT service for the City of Nuremberg's IT department. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the digital transformation of the city administration. Day-to-day tasks include creating and refining essential concepts (e.g., roles/authorization, operations, and emergency concepts), managing service design and lifecycle for the DMS platform, and overseeing external service providers and contract fulfillment. A key responsibility is handling incident and escalation management for the service. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience, coupled with knowledge of systems architecture, operating systems (Linux), and scripting. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., Certified IT Specialist/Fachinformatiker) with comprehensive relevant skills and experience, or specific civil servant qualifications (3rd QE/Higher Service)

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT Service Management and DMS Platforms
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience (for candidates with vocational qualifications/Fachinformatiker)
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience (for candidates in the Administration and Finance track/Verwaltungsfachwirt)
