Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading the Application Management section within the Nuremberg City Administration's IT Department, overseeing 32 employees across four teams. The primary responsibilities include the comprehensive planning and steering of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), operations, and technical administration for specialized municipal software. A key focus is driving the in-house development of new specialized software and implementing process automations, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and batch jobs. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the city's digital transformation efforts, requiring sound knowledge of software development, agile methodologies, and strong management competence. This position offers a stable, full-time, permanent role in the public sector, allowing the incumbent to shape the digital future of the City of Nuremberg.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom [Univ.]) in Informatics/Business Informatics, E-Government, or Economics, or equivalent qualifications. Alternatively, civil service qualification for the fourth qualification level (Administration and Finance or Natural Science and Technology focus).
