Job Summary

This role supports the critical Smart Meter Rollout for Westnetz GmbH, Germany's largest distribution network operator, contributing actively to the digitalization of the energy transition. Based in Essen-Kettwig, the technician will independently conduct complex technical tests and fault analyses on electricity metering devices, ensuring rigorous quality assurance. Responsibilities also include drafting technical specifications for meters and system components, guaranteeing adherence to all legal regulations and technical guidelines. The successful candidate will participate in technical projects, prepare detailed technical reports on device errors, and provide expert technical advice to operational units and specialized sales teams. Key requirements include a completed electrical engineering apprenticeship combined with a Technician qualification, strong analytical skills, and proven problem-solving abilities in a technical environment.
