Job Summary

This role involves leading and developing a dedicated 9-person FTTx (Fiber-to-the-X) team within Westnetz GmbH, one of Germany's largest distribution network operators. The Team Manager is responsible for the foundational setup, strategic alignment, and integration of the FTTx team within the Western Rhenish Regional Center. Day-to-day activities include defining and securing team goals, ensuring adherence to quality and process specifications, and taking responsibility for the entire FTTx project realization lifecycle—from conceptual and execution planning through construction supervision and final documentation. A key focus is managing time, quality, and cost constraints, as well as steering external partner firms involved in the planning and construction processes. Candidates must possess a technical or natural science university degree, several years of experience in broadband expansion and Smart Grids, and proven personnel leadership skills, utilizing a digital solutions mindset to drive innovation in regional infrastructure and contribute actively to the energy transition.
