Job Summary

This role involves taking system responsibility for corrosion protection and material specifications within a leading European marine technology company specializing in shipbuilding. The Project Engineer will be responsible for creating and reviewing system requirements based on customer and classification standards, such as SOLAS, and developing detailed coating plans and material specifications. Daily tasks include drafting essential technical documentation (e.g., TCO, SSDD), generating 2D drawings using AutoCAD, and conducting analysis and reporting on corrosion damage. Key requirements include a degree in Materials Engineering or a related field, along with proven proficiency in technical software including Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, and SAP. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to global security by working on modern surface and underwater technologies, integrating design, development, and production within a comprehensive system provider.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Engineering, Materials Science, or Materials Technology; or equivalent technical school qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in shipbuilding or boat construction (desirable)
  • Multi-year professional experience combined with advanced technical training (if degree is absent)
