Job Summary

This permanent position involves supporting the expansion and monitoring of groundwater quality across Lower Saxony. The Technician will be responsible for the independent planning and execution of functional controls on existing groundwater monitoring stations (GWMs), including hydraulic testing and camera inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Daily tasks include assessing the suitability of GWMs, planning necessary repair and maintenance work, and managing the construction of new GWMs. This involves site identification, conducting tendering procedures, supervising drilling and construction, and final documentation, including surveying and data management (AquaInfo database). The role requires a strong technical background in water management, well construction, hydrology, and hydrochemistry. This is an interesting, varied, and autonomous position based in Verden, offering flexible working hours, the possibility of remote work after the induction period, and targeted further training opportunities.
